The Wishing Well Charity Club - PDM General Arts Programme

The Wishing Well Charity Club is a new club founded in 2010. There are 16 active members (only Form 2 students) and the main responsibility of the WWCC members is volunteering in all classes, programs or events organised by the Persatuan Dyslexia Malaysia (PDM– Langkawi Branch).

On every Thursday, from 4.00-5.30 P.M , 5 members of WWCC will go to the PDM Langkawi Centre to volunteer in the Arts Class, led by Michelle and Kari. Michelle, a motherly lady from United Kingdom, has been conducting the Arts Class since the beginning of 2011, while Kari, a lively American lady has just joined a few months ago.The activities conducted are Painting Class, Drama Class, Body Movement Class and Music Class.
After volunteering in 4 classes ,  a vast improvement that can be seen in our students @ member of WWC. For example, they have improved their soft skills and gained more confidence to communicate in English with native speakers (Michelle and Kari). Apart from improving their communication skill, the students have gained another important skill which is Negotiation Skill. Some of the dyslexic kids are a bit rebellious and the roles of the WWCC members are to coax the kids and keep encouraging them to continue with the task given.
It is hoped that, by the end of the programme, both the WWCC members and the dyslexic kids will be able to unleash their potentials.

See you next time! Do read the older posts and follow!
